Whilst i understand why you make a grey colour baseline i think you should keep that version unpublished and instead publish a face with some contrasting colours. They will stand out more and definitely be more attractive to users. As you are making 3 styles, showcase each one with a different colour theme. That will generate more thought and desire and capture their attention. Try it once and see if it has any impact on syncs. Have at least 2 or 3 colors works much better than 1.
I just dont like grey colour…reminds me of miserable rainy cloudy days

You definitely have a point.
I consider the grey faces as the ultimate user test. The users are not distracted by fancy colors.
So I can see with watch face is worth to invest more time in.
