Showing off some new animations and what i can do with a face

Hi everybody.

Of course i need to hear from you what you think about this latest face. Every time i learn some new methods, conquer some challenges, harvest those opportunities in the Blender Software, i cannot resist making a new face with that.

So here it is. Any comment is welcome.

Enjoy.

Nice lighting trick /. I feel you need a highlight on your Caldera Bezel on the left to show the lighting angle a bit more since you have chosen an unusual one . For me a Usual one I go 3/4 but I completely understand an Artist wanting to use one that is different from Most CAD and what Facer use .

OK. I was so blinded by the uber prettiness that I couldn’t work out what was freaking the back of my head out. 24:07. Eh, What? Then I saw the handle markers

Very nicely done my friend, bravo  For me though, I like to see the time at a glance, not wait to see it revealed.

Thanks everybody.

So inspired by my colleagues, i added some special Russell light effect and some everlasting time digits. Even the seconds are everlasting :joy:

I couldn’t resist to do some extra stuff here. Do not want to bore myself

Enjoy!

Hello again. Here is another example of a face made with 3d SEQUENCES from Blender. All objects and movements are created there. I love Blender and i can not count the opportunities and challenges it offers to keep on learning and building new faces, based just on that.

Best greetings

Showing off simple animation (upon wake) within Facer and not with any 3D designs (not my strength

Very Nice!

So, not nearly up to the levels you guys have but a bit of colourful, retro fun…

All the quadrant data but the UV icon, footprints and ET are text elements so that a single element can do both Active and AOD colours.

Still tweaking so any advice welcome.

Also, MOAR BLENDER!

Nice watch - something to aim for. Although I prefer 24 hour time rather than 12 hours and AM/PM.

It is based on your watch setting…

I always use this to preserve spacing but not have the leading 0 on 12h: $#DTIMEFORMAT#==12&&#Db#<10?" ":$$#DTIMEFORMAT#==12?#Db#:#DbZ#$:#DmZ#

There may be a simpler way. Shame pad() does not let you specify the padding character.

Since I split the time into 6 separate digits the hour is:

first hour digit: (floor((#Db#/10)))
Opacity: $(floor((#Db#/10)))=0?0:100$

last hour digit: (#Db#%10)
Opacity: 100

I did think you would be posting the multi digit version. My head was about right to the solution you would be posting. Great to have it recorded here though. Individual digits open up the scope of possible animations that much wider. So far I have only separated hour and minute.

I’ve just started working on hour hour and minute wheels that I want to make meshing cogs but it’s slow as I am using it as a brain cleanser when stuck on other faces:

Genius! to be able to see the possibility of the interchange between letters and forming words that matter, is a stroke of genius.

What i would propose is a possible change for the movement of the s that becomes a n. Perhaps a movement behind the e, with reducing of opacity when behind the e and returning to full opacity when it is placed next to the e. As if it made a 3D effect showing distance behind the e… And let the s turn into a n before it slides behind the e. Just throwing some ideas in the pool of thoughts.
