I wanted to make a circular battery indicator using arc. Since the watch face I’m concocting at the moment is a bit “Duplo Style”, I wanted to put a border around the arc.
Had to push and pull rotational and fill values around a bit, now it kind of works. But it’s a bit crude, I’m afraid. Is there any other way of doing this?
Here’s the demo using a #Ds# formula to showcase the border thingy.
Any ideas very welcome, I think I hit a one way street here
As usual, as I might be compelled to add.
Edit
Yeah, a custom hand would do the trick. But it would mean a stint @ Photoshop every time I decide to change diameter and such of the arc.

Well, first thing I would suggest, do not recalculate the fill ratio, it is unnecessary and makes things worse than they are. You could simply subtract some tiny number from the upper arc layer fill ratio and rotate it a bit ahead or add a bit to the bottom and rotate it a bit back.
If you want to even cure the wedge shaped border on the ends, you could use linear progress bars with 0 background opacity (and tick reverse fill), if the radius is not too small related to border thickness. Otherwise they become obvious too…

Okaaaaay, thanks for the answer, looks so cool on the pic you attached. But I’m completely lost here, I’m afraid
It’s quite late here, gotta digest this tomorrow!

I added the bars in my previous example. those linear ones are grey just to separate
best would be if the arc shape could be switched from fill to stroke mode like the circle and square

You know what? I COMPLETELY missed this “progress” element
“‘S e amadan a th’ annam”, as the Gaelic would have it. Well … I’m pretty new at this whole facer thingamajic, and I tend to be somewhat chaotic
I have to go boil my head now.
