I know this was an old issue and was resolved with Facer 5.x update but I am still facing an issue with the step counter in the watch faces. The step counter never updates and is never in sync with Samsung Health.
Is someone aware of this?

I think you should check the permissions of the watch and the applications, both Samsung and facer, if everything is fine, it is probably the bug that is appearing with the new update that Samsung released both in tyzen and in wear
I had that problem and I reset my watch (Watch 4). It now works great.
