Would like to know how to make a planet spin while in Orbit. But overall I think I’m making progress.
Nice face! To make the planet spin you will need to use an animated sequence for the planet picture to revolve and then use the same kind of expressions you are using to orbit it. And by the way I’ve been here since June of 2019 and I’m still learning. There is always something new to learn.
Thank you! And so true haha
I’d make all the Texts bigger and maybe change the Font, and they’re not rotating, but take a look at this -
Very nice! Okay I’ll try that out and update it.
The Sun and Earth are in 2 pieces, top and bottom, to achieve the effect of things orbiting behind them. Inspection is On.
Updated the font and size and it looks alot better thank you. I’m having issues accessing the inspection on my phone.
Hi @tylernewellucc , it’s looking like you got a good start on this, and @icrltd4 has given you a fantastic sample. By the way, I didn’t know you made that @icrltd4 & that’s just my style! Well done! Just in case you wish another sample, you can take a look at this one. It has a spinning earth and orbiting moon. Also, all the planets have been calibrated so that their relativistic orbits are acurate both for location and speed wise, just sped up a bit. I just turned on inspection for you.
Nicely done!! And thank you!
Nicely done!! And thank you I’ve been
That is one of the fun parts of this hobby, spending the time to make things accurate as practical. Unfortunately in this model, the orbit of Saturn is too long relative to the other planets so you never actually see it completing a full cycle around the sun. Also, sometimes it is fun to do sleights of hand to make it look like you are doing something when you are actually not, as I have a few faces like that too.
That’s great Brad, I love the little X-Wing too, nice touch
That Orbiting Face I did was all credit to dazstacey mate, and I sure hope he’s ok as I haven’t heard from him for a very long time now
