I’d like to move the time display from the upper right corner of the Apple Watch Infograph Modular to the center of the screen.
I can display the time in the center using a text layer. Is there a way to suppress the digital time displayed in the upper right corner so it does not show on the watch face? (Meaning the watch face would show the time in the middle of the screen but not in the upper right corner.)
I do not see a way how to move/suppress/mask it. It is a template. But consider this. That you can add time layer to your face for apple watch does not mean you should. I once did and ended up like shiny example of what should not be done on apple watch face
By apple policy everything that you are allowed to add to such face is only updated once in 15min. That is not how time display should work. It would make really bad impression. Check this:
Rather search for a way how to incorporate the fixed part of the face into your design. For example use same font for your own other text fields…
@kenny1 Both Facer for Apple and Others have severe restrictions. It is impossible to give us everthing we want. So work within the Limits and make someting that Pleases you. You will find others like it too. You will find for the effort of making a Nice Apple Face you will get more Syncs than on the othe Watches. There is some stunning stuff there.
Apple does actually make such things quite easy. You can remove the time display from the upper right corner: all you need are scissors and black masking tape.
(sorry, couldn’t resist!)
As much as I don’t like their products, I still do wish they didn’t have any of those silly and stifling restrictions, and instead allowed the same full design capabilities. I had so many analog square faces I wanted to work on.
Gotta say though, I am thoroughly impressed with my 12 year old Macbook Pro with runs as good as the day I bought it to make the watch faces that I put up here. You’d be hard pressed to find a PC that can do that I think…
That probably depends on the brand and model PC. My ThinkPad T530 is 11 years old running Windows 10. My X1C Gen 2 is 9 years old and still working well. I donated it but received a photo last week as proof of its vitality. I followed that with a ThinkPad Helix. That is now alive in the ham radio world. I received a photo of that as well. Those oldies were upgraded to Windows 10. They cannot upgrade to Windows 11 because of Windows TPM 2.0 (security) requirement, but so far, they serve the needs of the people using them.
As for Apple Watches, they probably wouldn’t be able to do as much as they do if they had fewer restrictions. I suppose it’s a trade-off depending on user needs. Designers who own Apple Watches seem to be able to move things around better than those of us who do not design with Apple Watch in hand.
Yeah I cannot upgrade my MacBook Pro anymore either and it is starting to become an issue so Apple is winning and slowly pushing me to finally buy another MacBook. It’s unavoidable. You’re right though, I do not have an Apple watch and I can’t imagine making anything without being able to see the finished product in my hand, let alone figure out how to design around the restrictions. That being said, I still can’t being myself to buy an Apple watch mostly due to the square face - I have just never liked square-faced watches of any kind…except for maybe the odd JLC or Cartier piece.
However, if making faces for Apple watches was a condition of qualifying to become a Creator partner ever, well…sign me up! Apple watch all the way baby!
If Apple is Included in the Sync Hunt you will find it quite easy to get in the Charts there. We’ll it was a while ago when it opened up.
Sadly there are many Faces in the Charts and Featured that can only be Achieved with Apple Apps not Creator and the are Published on Facer. In the Premium Charts List I counted 50 ot of 100.
Personaly I think that is remarkably Unfair. I raised a Handful of Tickets on the subject but we shall see.
Like Multiple Notifications it will probably not change .
