I’m trying to make my watch so when the user taps an area the graphic in the middle is changed to another graphic. Is this possible?

Yes. It requires a Premium feature ( interactive variable ) that is available via the Creator Pro subscription. Note that faces that have Premium features are only available to Premium subscribers. It is not possible to do what you want with the free version of Facer.
