I’ve created a Christmas watch face (see below). I added a countdown of the number of days to Christmas, and although last week this would sync to my watch it appeared that this was stopping it being published. There were three pieces of text:
The first had a formula which calculated and displayed the number of days, and also had an opacity formula which would hide it on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
A piece of text saying “It’s Christmas Eve” with an opacity formula which would display it on Christmas Eve only
A piece of text saying “Merry Christmas” with an opacity formula which would display it on Christmas day only
I took out #1 and the face still wouldn’t publish, so I’m assuming the issue is the IF statement for the opacity. Any thoughts or info on this?
I think Conditional Formulas in a Text box are out of the question at the moment . The rest looks fine to me . Makes it so difficult to do any countdown stuff . You could split the conditionals to a number of expressions and hide or show them with opacity which is normally OK . Sadly once a Face has been flagged up I believe here is stuff in the Meta Data that does not get erased when you get it back . Start again with your Duplicate Draft that I am sure you made before publishing these days and well Forever I would say .
Did you receive an error message to inform you of why it would not publish? The only other thing might be if any component in the description or images is copyright or trademark protected. If you cannot figure it out, send Facer Support a note. https://help.facer.io/hc/en-us/requests/new
I think Russell has nailed it, it seems to be a conditional formula in a text field. I’ve now simplified it by doing (359-#DD#), and then hide it on Christmas Eve and Day using opacity formulae and revealing one of the other two. Not perfect but it’ll work for this Christmas.
There doesn’t seem to be a problem using IF statements for the opacity, contrary to what I said above.
Well done . Yes I think opacity is safe . Please remember Duplication before Publication . I was working on a Countdown formula for WFS that did next day after Xmas for all the years but I am not clever enough to get the one day bug out of it . But impossible on Facer Creator Right now .
Oh yeah, that was the first thing that triggered my OCD, “1 days to Christmas” That was when I thought of hiding it and saying “It’s Christmas Eve” instead.
