Two analogue watchfaces: one simple, one retro

This is based on an older design of German train station clocks, which is in turn based on the design used in Swiss train stations.

Real station clocks are synchronized to the central German time signal, but only receive a signal once a minute. To keep everything in sync, the second hand completes a revolution in about 58 seconds and then pauses at the 12 position until the signal advances the minute hand and releases the second hand. I decided against emulating that behaviour, and instead just have a jump minute hand.

There’s very little to say about this. I didn’t attempt to make a realistic-looking watch, but instead to use simple geometric shapes in a fashion that is elegant and decorative, but also bold and simple.

Either I’m starting to like retro, or you have a talent to make them sweet.
