Is it ok to post faces here for critique/ feedback? If so is there a way to do it before publishing?

To answer your questions, yes it’s fine to post in this area. Second to post before publishing, just copy and paste the URL of your watch face which should be something like “https;//www.facer,com/watchface/SomeNumbersAndLettersHere”. You not want anything like “/inspect” or ?watchModel=Something in the address. Also make sure you have a blank line above and below the URL address and it will show up just like the one you have posted.
BTW that is a sharp looking Independence Day watch face you have there!

I particularly like how you’ve done the Red, White, and Blue Seconds.
You can post links whilst you’re still creating by selecting the Share Icon, which I’ve shown for you in this image ok -
