My latest crazy idea is a minimal face with unconventional seconds indication.
This is good enough to show the concept, but I am sure a skilled graphic artist can improve the look and feel…

Yes, I have watched it for longer than I would like to admit outside of this forum… 
I added a subtle honeycomb background in active mode.
That’s a pretty cool look
