Do whatever you do for the minutes and hours. If they are smooth, make seconds smooth too, otherwise tick.
The tick looks neat imo.

i love the tick effect myself draws your eyes a bit more in my opinion.

yep, I went with the ticking in the end, because it looks more authentic and I got positive feedback.
got some more in different colours now… the colors help to take away the attention from the second hand

(floor(#DWFSS#*.75)/.75) This creates a faster shorter tick.

Make a back plan with tradition second hand sweeping / or ‘tic’ the traditional seconds - contracting the hand to match the radius of the seconds index… It looks great mate, but in my experience, the market doesn’t like/get retrograde seconds. Just saying… I promise you, launch both and you’ll see the sync difference.
