I recently updated my Fossil Gen 6 to WearOS 3, and my step count (#ZSC#) isn’t updating but instead staying at “0”. I made sure both the Facer apps on my phone and on my watch have all permissions granted, I updated my watch face and re-uploaded it to Facer+sent it to my watch, and I tried restarting both my phone and watch. I also tried recording workouts with both the Fossil app and the Google Fit app, which both show I have 5000+ steps, but my watch face is still just stuck at 0 steps. Any idea what’s going wrong?
I would suggest you contact Facer Support by emailing them at: facer-support@little-labs.com They will want you to include the watch brand and model number, the operating system version plus the Facer app version you have. Also include a detailed explanation of the issue you are having so they can investigate what might be going on.
I just wanted to confirm that problem with Wear OS 3.
Hey @bernard.m.piller . I got a GW4 Classic 46mm recently that runs WOS3 . I am not absolutely certain how I got the steps going . I think initially it is a good Ide to keep WiFi and Bluetooth on for watch and Phone . I had a lot of trouble with the phone reconnecting to my old watch . When I switched the off I got steps on my new watch . Switch on any Permission related to your Watch and Health App .
It seems to be an issue with Fossil Gen 6 watches.
New watch, new operating system = new problems. Those who were the first to buy the Galaxy Watch 4 last year and put it on Facer had the same exact problems until @Facer-Staff figured out the issue. They will figure it out for the Fossil Gen 6 watches also.
This is not limited to just Fossil watches; same thing happens on the Pixel Watch, also running WearOS 3. And, yes I have already reported this to Facer support directly, but would be nice to see some acknowledgment from them about the issue.
