Weather forecast incorrect

Good early afternoon. Looking for an answer/resolution to the following; how can I correct the weather info that Facer pulls from?

I am a Project Mgr for a construction company and having the upcoming forecast immediately available is a major value proposition of this Samsung watch. Unfortunately every face I try is completely off from the correct forecast. I’ve tried updating the location settings and others but no improvement. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

I found installing the OpenWeather app on my phone helped get mine moving but the update to the watch still isn’t all that frequent.
It’s alo important to have location permissions on for OpenWeather and the facer app on both phone and watch.

DISCLAIMER: I’ve picked up this information from several different Facer Community posts, so this is just my overview of the issue.

First make sure you have all the permissions for Facer granted on both the watch and phone. You must have location turned on in both or the Facer watch app will not have any weather information.

Facer uses OpenWeather (https://openweathermap.org) for their weather source. OpenWeather does not use your “exact” location (no matter what your watch says) and just gives the region wide weather which can be different from where you are now. Some have said that if you install the OpenWeather app on your phone, it will help the weather stay updated.

You have to make sure your phone is not set to use power management (Adaptive Battery) where it closes “unused” background apps, or at least exempt the Facer app from it.

Next I’ve found that my weather updates more regularly if I open the Facer app 3 or 4 times during the day. There have been lots of times where I’ve looked at my watch and thought that the temperature was wrong, opened the Facer app, closed it and checked my watch and it be close to correct.

NOTE: I’m using an original Galaxy Watch, a Galaxy S3 Frontier, a Galaxy 4 Classic and a Fossil Carlyle watch for my daily carry. They all seem to have the same issue and cure.

These are my personal observations and are of course subjective: Your Mileage May Vary!

Hi @jwsaggie and Welcome to the community. Apart from what @rob.fisk has said there are other things involved . I would not chose a Face that has 5 Forecasts . Facer has 2 codes for Todays weather . I am sorry to say but you might have to ask the Designer in comments if they use F1 for Today or Tomorrows weather. The answer should be Today ! .
You have to give the weather a chance to settle on your Watch . You will need a good connection to the Internet and Between your Phone and Watch .
I will say that the Wind Reports are quite good . Good enough for Sailing or Wind Surfing but I would not rely on it to report a Squall which I would of thought is a great concern on a Site.
I think you have to test a few faces to find something that is near enough for you.
Come Back if you need more help .

Here is a clunky test I was working on , The top two CUR and F1A are todays weather . Only Sky condition Min and Max Temp are shown for the test. the white number is the Open Weather lookup code for that weather.

I published this if temporarily if you want to test it . 3 Hours to go till Happy New Year here.
