What happened to Samsung Developer forum?

My Facer face for my Galaxy 6 Classic no longer works with WearOS 8, so I rebuilt it with Samsung’s Watch Face Studio (WFS) software. But I can’t get the weather temperature complication to work. So I wanted to post this issue on the WFS forum - but it’s URL gives a 404 (page not found) error.

Does anyone know what’s going on with the Samsug Developer forum>? Last week they said they were doing forum updates over the weekend, but now the whole thing is just gone.

Like the Facer forum it has had an update . It is not settled yet . I they said it would all be fixed after 15th . It looks to me that they are both built by the same team . I think Samsungs 2 stage Login is causing issues . I have stopped myself trying to login . Yes Using the weather on a WFS Face elevates it to SDK 33+ . I can sync WFS faces to my GW7 updated . Lets hope the WFS forum is up and running tomorrow .

I was thinking about posting something here about that too. It wants me to to set up my profile from scratch, even tho I have the account for 12 years. I can’t get past this process, it just hangs with a spinning indicator.

What are the odds that the Sammy Dev Forum, and the Facer forum get updated at around the same time?

On a positive note, I got WearOS 6/OneUI 8 on my 5 Pro today. I can use the latest APIs now for all three of my watches.

They changed the forum engine and the forum login will be trough Samsung account. If your forum login was not paired with account, you wont be able to log in.
I tried to get there from my account, without success.
I was trying to make a new account matching my years old forum login, but it did not work either.

After stumbling around in the general Samsung website I found this page:

It says something about “page not found”, but if you sign in with your Samsung user name - which is not your email address - you will get to a forum-like screen that strikes me as the new form for all Galaxy Watch issues.

I haven’t posted anything there yet - will do so if it looks like that really is the forum we are supposed to use.

I don’t know anything about pairing, but I’ve been using the same account with Samsung for the last 12 years. Now it just doesn’t work.

Ha Ha . We wonder . At this stage the two Forums are picking each others Brains . On the WFS one people are asking how to use Tap to Launch .

I keep logging in but it does not stick . They must have realised there is still a problem . The new WFS forum is only one day old . I hope they do not want us to raise tickets . I am quite sure it will sort itself out soon enough .

I just spoke with Samsung Media Solutions and Galaxy App Store team
1-800-726-7864 (you have to say “transfer me to the Samsung Media Solutions and Galaxy App Store team” at the prompt). I had to pull some teeth to get this number.

He made it sound like if you don’t let them know you’re having an issue, it’s not gonna get fixed for you. He said I would get an email once it’s fixed, but that’s because my call was logged with them.

I just thought I’d share my experience.

Once there you can log in using your existing Samsung user ID & PW. That’s the good news.

The bad news is this is what you get when you click on the Community Hangouts option:

There is nothing useful there unless you want to browse things you can buy - but those things don’t seem to have anything to do with watch faces.

I think we have entered the Twilight Zone.

To me it is working now. I could not get in, always getting message “user already exists”.
Then tried to log from different browser and it worked and works on this one right after that too.

I tried 5 different computers, and three different browsers on each. No luck what so ever. Samsung Support said I won’t be able to get in until after I receive the email saying its fixed.

UPDATE: I just tried again this morning and it is working now.!!!

UPDATE 2: As kalljeen41 said, not much to see. The latest posts are showing up as more than a month old. I made a test post, and it can’t be found anywhere. What an epic fail.

I saw your post and responded . I have to login each time I go there getting a bit fed up for sure . No response to my Question on the Dashboard . I posted a similar question to Facer Help Line and got a response from Peter Helin next day .

Yeah you have to select the Watch Face Studio Section and the ALL Category . See you there when it is fixed :::)))
