Why are there so many functions, some basic ones, that, according to the table here are not supported with the latest WearOS (WFF > 3)? Is this because Facer still has to catch up or have these functions been removed?
I just wanted to know aas I would have liked to include a sound effect, but this is one of the functions that no longer works; the same with complications; none of the 4 possible complications work either, according to the table.
One other thing, is it possible to do a STOP/START for a GIF or do you have to use the opacity trick?
As per usual, reponses and advice greatly appreciated!

It is because of Google. They had to dumb-down the format of watchfaces, to make their new watches with bigger batteries, better chips and glorious wearOS last at least as long as those older ones, ie. one and half day at best.
Sorry for not being constructive this time, but this development direction angers me.
That Table you Linked is changing all the time . Keep an Eye out and read the topics on the issues with WFF Faces . Facer is not going to Catch Up with all the issues . It is not possible in WFF . The Complications work for me as I pay for Pro . I customise them on my watch . I use 4 ( the Max permissible I think) I use World clock and a downloaded Calendar on Two of them . The other two I keep Free for testing . Note . I use them Hidden so they are just App launchers really . Sound effects are available to the Partners . There are no Tap to Run triggers for the Sequences / Animations . However you could open them with the Gyro or a timed event . We also have a random number generator but it sets at Wake .
I’m a Pro user too, but not a partner. I certainly can’t afford that being on benefits and all.
Hopefully I can figure out how to open a GIF on a timed event; I simply want it to go off/play on the hour, every hour, which is when I wanted to have the sound effect go off too (user optional). I’m presuming if a GIF runs once, rather than on a loop, it gets released from memory until you open it again? How do you open a GIF? Is that a function somewhere which I haven’t seen?

Gif and Sequence are the same ting in Facer . You can import a 25 or under Frame gif or drop the layers in one by one in Creator in the Sequence Layer . So on the Hour you could move your Gif into position then remove it with the same conditional . We can not use the Opacity Field with Sequences . The Gif will loop in the background and you catch it at the right time or not . Obviously if you want the sequence to start exactly on the hour you need one that is synced to the Seconds Minute Hour . So what I mean is a 6 second loop rather than a 5.36 . Which I guess would not sync . I have no tested that . I usually use 5 second Sequences because that divides nicely into 60 and the App preview shows for 5 seconds but from 45 to 50 .
My advice is to start reading the posts here from now and backwards. Most (all) questions a beginner has (like myself) have been answered in this forum - often many times. There is a search function too (top right) which can be helpful. The people here are super helpful and always ready to help, but you need to try first before asking.
Perhaps the most important thing is to have fun!
