I think losing the Battery stuff is an error on Facers part . Phone battery is not on WFF but Watch is . Also they dumped the moon stuff . Big mistake .
Everybody is coming up with great work arounds . Some of these tags will be reinstated when Facer realise their mistake . Remember these changes are only for WFF / WOS6 watches . Some might like to come to WFS and make WFF .aab faces there and port them to Facer . That works well .

They will have to go back and look at things again . People want the Moon and Battery on thier watches . They will not want to go backward because the got a New Watch .
Hi. I notice many are now noticing some negative experiences and are wondering where it will go from here. The first thing i notice is the main goal of this upgrade. To be able to bring your faces to more wrists. I am afraid that is not my goal. My goal is to be as much creative to make a face, primarily for my own but free for everyone to take, but i do not want to compromise that with a lesser quality or reworks. Both are for me, reducing my motivation to create faces and put my time and energy in that. Quality always above quantity. Secondly, i want to be able to use my work (WearOS) on the latest watches with better functionality, nits, high resolution and works fully with iphone. Of course, that problem lies elsewhere. All these different OS drive everyone nuts including perhaps F. And all these reworks just to fit another OS, is not for me. This upgrade relies a lot upon reworks it seems.
I do not like the restricting templates for IOS watches, which again reduces my creativity and thus motivation. I wished something would be clear and positive about the changes concerning Facer creator page for me. That would be, more GB room to save so that better PNG images would support animation or bulk importing in sequences or select multiple elements and do a edit or other change/delete on that level. Is there a list of requests by the forum people, which are not included in this upgrade, that would make things more clear.
And i am afraid we will loose more in the future when we get pushed perhaps completely to this other Google format. I sense it already. The future will tell us, but i recognize the signs. I still appreciate what F offers me now, but i am no fan of this upgrade for those reasons.

Please don’t lose Heart Guys . The Palet we have in front of us is changing . Facer spoiled us with the way it worked . It hss to change now to be compstible with the future . I remember the same feeling when I stopped subscribing to Pro . Really cheated .
Your True Creativity will allow you to shape and colour the new Format into wonderfull creations very soon .

Totally agree with you, I really appreciate the new possibilities and the potential this update brings. The pros are definitely exciting, and while the cons are a bit of a hurdle right now, I do believe they can be overcome in time. That said, I do hope performance across the editor will be closely monitored going forward, that’s something that really needs to stay solid for all of us to keep creating possible.

Priority 1 Make faces for the new watches
Priority 2 fix as many of the legacy faces as possible automatically
Priority 3 issue beta creator
Priority 4 start repairing the premium tags that don’t work
Priority 5 everything else.
Those would be my priorities - can’t blame them really. This is a totally new Creator being errr created as we watch, we have to give them more time

It will only get better. For now what Facer has released is a breath of fresh air for OS wear 6 watches. The only alternative was to make watches in WFS or purchase a face from Google Play Store. We have to be patient (we’ve been so thus far). Its still beta, and improvements will be coming hopefully much sooner now its released. Well done Facer team! Keep up the good work and looking forward to future releases!

I think they’re working on it. I believe moon phase and battery will be available in some capacity based on what I’ve seen about WFF elsewhere.

Yes . That is my guess . We could fall back on the Old DNOW Moon Phase Formula from the Giants . But Battery is something else . Facer had so many tricks up their sleve that are lost now . Now AMOLED is a partner may be he can make som magic to bring us Phone Battery data back . It really is a Tease to see #BLN# in the Progress bar but we can not play with it . If I was being crude I woud say that was like P… Teasing .

What are the new requirements to join the partner program? or same as before? 5k downloads within 30 days is kind of steep for a newbie.

@Jorg . Apply . There is a link in creator in the left hand menue . You will have to tell them apart from the Obvious ( how many faces published ) how many Followers you have and links to the other Platforms you Publish on if that is the case . If you do not get selected you can re-apply in 30 days .

Lets say I get a smartwatch, that was released with wearOS version 4 or less (for example Galaxy Watch 4 to 6). It still supports all Facer’s features, even after update to wearOS version 5, which watches released with this or newest version 6 do not.
Now to test the new beta creator, or even imported WFF watch faces, we are advised to update to wear OS version 6. Since such updates are not reversible, I would like to clarify one thing before jumping on the testing hype:
What happens with the support of the watch for those pre wearOS v5 features? Will it work as before, or will only VFF compatible i.e. dumbed-down faces work on it since such update? If the leater should be the case, it is not so great and I would rather keep my watch unchanged.
BTW, in the article about Rosetta Stone is one claim I consider not fully true:
“At the heart of this release is Rosetta Stone , Facer’s powerful cross-platform design abstraction layer that lets you design your watch face once — and publish it across multiple platforms with a single workflow.”
Since faces for WFF have to be created separately and no longer support earlier Facers features same as faces for apple watches, it is not single workflow anymore.

Yes . We can only speculate . I think I read somewhere that a GW5 updated to One UI8 would be supported for an Additional 4 years . I presume if you dont update it support ends on that Day . I am going to get the Tizen out and put my Private Face on it . Let my GW5 update itself when it Comes . My Private Face has moonphase stuff along with SR SS . Not to mention a tap to data back with Compass and 4 hidden comps . Most of all a Watch Battery Gauge with Peters Prefect Three Colour Morph on it . One of my Favourite Gadgets .
NB was the Rosetta Stone not a Document Carved into Stone . In two completely Different Languages . One Hieroglyphics which had never been Translated before and was actually a Total Mystery .
