🚀 A new era for Facer Creator has arrived!

That is what I am talking about. I made me few faces with pro features, which I would like to use even later, maybe on some little newer watch with undesirable wearOS. (My GearS3 Frontier still runs well on original Tizen, but it is 8yo meanwhile and may fail one day).

Wow that is a long time to look after a watch . Yes I have some pro templates stashed for private faces in the future . Oh well .The march of Time moves on . May be if we get into Mechanical clocks and watches they will not go out of Date so Quick .

none of my watches will sync since the upgrade
seriously thinking about ending my subscription

Hi everyone,
I noticed that the app shows the energy impact of published Faces, for example:

But I’d like to understand how it’s calculated.
In fact, regarding the ones I created, some that I think should show a greater impact (because they contain formulas, a white background, and lots of information) actually turn out to be less energy-intensive than others I created specifically with energy impact in mind.

Thanks.

PS: did I make a mistake in writing here?

This feature is new isn’t it? Wouldn’t it be even more useful to display this information already during the creation process in Creator/WFF?
This would allow designers to optimize their watch faces for battery efficiency before publishing, rather than finding out afterward.

Only shows the Lit Pixel Ratio in AOD / Ambient Mode .

Ahhh, that explains my doubts, so this only considers AOD mode.

That makes sense to me.

But perhaps it would be more convenient to understand how much it consumes in normal mode. For example, I don’t use AOD…
And what jivestaroso suggests would be helpful…

Thanks

You can - it is one of the options on the right side in creator (under the rocket ship etc). It looks like three vertical bars that increase in size from left to right.

Appreciate it! Hard to believe I’ve been on Facer for half a year and just learned this.

I have one watchface that has passed for WFF, WearOS and Tizen. It just happened to not have anything that is broken in WFF included in the watchface. So, the Rosetta Stone claim is true, so long as you don’t put anything WFF forbidden in the face.

The more I look into this one, the more I believe the software goofed up. When you open it up, it shows about 10 to 12 things that are in error for WFF, but yet it shows as OK on the watchface in Facer Creator.

I have multiple such faces, that have definitely features not supported by the WFF yet listed as compliant. I guess those would not be able to sync on wearOS 6 watch or would not work right anyway.

some use #PBN# other #DWE#

I have published some that are not compliant with WFF and when they finish it says that the WFF publishing failed. I would assume that those with Galaxy Watch 8 listed as their watch in the Facer app, won’t see the non-compliant watchfaces. Just like I don’t see Apple watchfaces using my Galaxy watches as the selected watch type.

I’m getting the same Failed to Publish WFF on one of my WFF imported faces. I must be doing some unorthodox stuff in WFS on that one.

I get this error every time I publish a face, even though I corrected the errors to be ready for WFF. " Submitting failed for platforms:* WearOS (WFF) Please contact support for more information."

I contacted supprt, but havent heard anything back. I’m thinking they’re in the weeds with this beta. I cant even imagine the stress these guys must be feeling right now.

I would not even try to publish a WFF face from the Facer Platform . You are seriously wasting your time . Some are but they know the Basics and some workarounds . Faces imported .aab from WFS work fine .
Don’t worry about the Guys at Facer they have a Bot called Marvin sorting it all out and he has a brain the size of the Planet .
