This reminds me of when we learned about Appleās restrictions. The ball is in Googleās court with this one, so letās remember that. If we have an issue we can report it via the Facer support form.
Correct.
I have only had a few failed conversions, but the Facer app does display ābest case scenarioā so worth testing everything on an actual watch or emulator just in case.
I would rather say, it is on Facer to put in documentation, how the Google restrictions translate into new creator page.
Iām sure they will once the bugs are fixed. All of this is still a work in progress.
What People are not understanding is . Going forwatd the WOS will be WFF . WFF is very different from Facer Creator . Ther are very many Tags that are not on WFF . WFF are not hsvong a Struggle to conform to what Facer offered . Sadly what Faer has to offer is now Legacy .They have supported Yizen for years after Samsung dumped It. Facer will continue to support <WOS6 watches . There are Millions of Waches that will be supported . Hopfully for ever . Going forward we have to make faces with the Elements that we know work with WFF . There may be some cross fertalisation but It will take a good while .
I donāt completely agree with you. Yes, going forward it will be WFF, but many designs have already been converted. I just synced one of mine that was published 4 or 5 years ago. I suppose it depends on how many ābells and whistlesā the designers have used. Iām an artist more than a coder so in this case that worked to my advantage.
I agree with you that in Facer, faces that are more design-focused definitely have an easier time transitioning to WFF compared to the more technical ones.
Adapt and adjust is the new motto, I donāt mind since most of my faces have basic info.
I think is a waste of time contacting support, I might as well forget about the partner application I put in.
@Jorg . You can apply for Partnership every thirty Days . You will find yourself behind me in the Queue . I was most attracted to the Gadgetry of Face which exceeded any other platform I looked at , I will not take the update on my Watch and pray that Facer continues with its Legacy Support as they have done for TIZEN .
Good luck with that!
I have been making face on Facer for 5 year now . There have been many changes . I think they have ridden the Wave well considering . They have brought down the overhead power drain by 50% . That is Genius .
Boom. Everything you need to know about tags for WFF
Great to see the list . Thanks for that @roycaruso . Has anyone tested #DWE# on a WFF watch ?
The one thing I canāt stand is how much heavy the current platform has gotten compared to before: it is s - l - o - w. Last time I edited a face, just a few months ago, it moved along as it always had before. But now, even a simple task of renaming an element is like pulling teeth: I click the element (and wait), I click rename (and wait), then I finally start typing the new name-- but then I have to sit back to watch the new name appear in sets of two letters at a time, up to 3 seconds in between each set. Everything else is just as slow. Running the face gives me a seconds hand that jumps every 2-3 seconds. All while the CPU is 15-20% utilization.
Even on my previous laptop, which had only half as much RAM and a slower much older CPU, things were better.
Not so severe, but I noticed change towards slower response too.
Yes, thank you for your observation. I also find it slower. I hope the programmers consider not only functionality and battery saving, but also the developerās perspective, and make it a bit lighter, in line with modern standards.
@kourosh & @petruuccios
Itās pretty much the same on my end also. If I have other tabs open in the browser, itās affecting them also.
Has anyone ever tried the Downloaded Facer Creator App . That might even be Faster these days . I can not send Pictures on my Phone to the Community now . But if the Web give Facer more bandwidth it could be better . That will be largely down to guys like Google . Who Knew .
I may be wrong but I donāt think that has been updated or supported for a very long time.
