I’ve reached the end of the saga of pairing my watches to my new phone. Yesterday I paired the GW3, a Tizen, and I wasn’t sure what to expect. So I started the procedure and everything went well, but when it came to connecting to the phone everything froze.
Once again, the only solution was to reset the clock. I went ahead anyway, and fortunately, once again, I was offered to restore a backup, which I did.
Once this was done, the watch connected to Wearable and everything was there, except…Facer!! The panic was absolute. When searching the Galaxy Store on the watch, the Facer app were no longer there because it is no longer supported.
The same thing happened when searching for the companion from within Facer. No longer supported.
Luckily, Facer itself saved me. I’d noticed a link that explained how to get Facer for Tizen back if I’d used it in the past. I tried following the instructions and… wow, I got Facer Companion for Tizen back, and everything works fine.
This is what you need to do.
Go to Galaxy Store > Apps > My Apps > Clock and there you’ll see all the apps you’ve purchased/used, even from the past.
In this section, I found not only Facer, which I was able to reinstall, but also all the old Galaxy Store watch faces I’d purchased or used. So I was able to transfer those back to the watch, too.
I breathed a sigh of relief.
Today it’s GW 1’s turn, but the path has already been set.
I hope no accidents happen to the S25 FE because this story of pairings between old and new operating systems has been a nightmare

I had similar panic attack last november and before searching myself, I went straight to forum (which for I criticized other people earlier, now I understand the emotion better).
Then tried AI research and it reminded me the Galaxy store option to return to own earlier downloads, even after the apps are no longer supported.
