I have a Pro subscription and none of my watchfaces can be bought, only FCP watchfaces can be sold. Here is a couple of screenshots off my phone using my personal Facer account, not the Mr. Antisocial Guy one.
I am Pro only and BATWOLF is a FCP.

Pro Tools allow subscribers to create Premium/Paid designs but the Pro subscribers do not earn money from them.

I know this is a bit of an old topic, but I’m not sure where else to put this thought out.
Are the rules for copyright mostly an issue just for paid watches or are free ones also struck for it?
I like to draw fan art on occasion and think it’s fun to upload those to wear on my watch, but I’ll stop putting effort into that and only use art of original designs if the fan art is just going to be removed for copyright anyway.

Yes, I’m afraid Copyright Laws apply to Free Faces as well as Premium, and it’s not just limited to images either; it applies to Logos and even words that are used in Descriptions and/or Titles.
That said, there’s still absolutely loads you can do if you simply don’t use other peoples “stuff”.
One Tip: always Duplicate before Publishing a Face. That way, if it gets taken down for any reason, then at least you still have a precise Template to work with

What a shame. I’m sure this community is lovely, but honestly I joined years ago just for the sake of being able to wear my art (whether original designs or fan art) and never really wanted to sell watch faces or make anything popular. For that sake, it would be cool if we could personally use unpublished designs.
I still have other designs in mind so I might still post, but it is wild how people can steal art and make faces on here, but a fan drawing I made, which isn’t something the companies really care about - though I’m aware is still use of ip and such - gets in trouble and isn’t allowed. I know it’s hard to police every submission, but I genuinely didn’t even know that this site policed any submissions until recently because such a large percentage of this site consists of uploads of popular characters and media.
That being said, I do appreciate the advice and your friendliness. Cheers!

Ah, but you can. I have fifteen watchfaces I have made and not published just so I can wear them on my watch. You can sync any of your own unpublished faces anytime you wish. It’s just that no one else can. I don’t have premium and cannot sync any premium watchface. But since I have the Pro upgrade, I can make premium watchfaces and I can sync my own premium versions. I can even sync the premium watchfaces that I have published if I wish.
