We’re thrilled to announce that the Facer app is now available for beta testing on Wear OS 6! This is your chance to experience the latest updates and help shape the future of Facer by providing early feedback.
Once enrolled, download the latest Facer app from Google Play. You should see that you’re part of the closed or beta track in the Play Store listing.
Getting Started
Open the Facer phone app - During onboarding or later via the left-side menu, select Galaxy Watch 8 as your device if you have a Wear OS watch running Wear OS 6, even if it is a Beta version of Wear OS 6.
Good to know:
This also works with older Pixel Watches, Galaxy Watches, or emulators running Wear OS 6 — currently, these are the only devices that will trigger the Wear OS 6 experience in the Facer app.
If you don’t see Galaxy Watch 8:
Confirm you’re in the Beta track.
Uninstall your current Facer app, reinstall from Google Play, and check again.
Onboarding Steps
After selecting Galaxy Watch 8 (GW8), the Facer phone app will trigger installation of a new Facer watch app on your Wear OS 6 watch.
If it’s not installed by the time you sync your first face, Facer will prompt you again to install the watch app.
Make sure to open the Facer watch app and “Allow Facer” to set watch faces via the Wear OS system prompt.
Face Library & Known Issues
Most of Facer’s massive collection of watch faces have already been updated to support WearOS and the WFF format — and we’re excited to roll out even more in the coming weeks!
Known Issues (Beta Reminder):
Minor font rendering or placement glitches may occur.
Differences between phone previews and the actual watch display can happen.
We invite all beta testers to report any significant issues, such as misalignments or major discrepancies. Submit feedback at help.facer.io
Thank you for helping us make Facer better!
We can’t wait to hear your feedback and see what stunning watch faces you bring to life on Wear OS 6.
@Facer_Official . Can you tell us when the One UI8 / WOS6 update will be avaiable for the GW7 range of Watches . Will the Legacy Watches get it at the same time .
I see some Reports of One UI8 being rolled out in the States right now .
My GW7 still refuses to acknowledge that, and I am not able to download beta to it. I am a beta tester. Tried restarting my S25Ultra and watch - nothing helps: “Your device doesn’t support…” blah-blah…
It probably depends on how old those legacy watches are. OEM’s have a tendency to not update legacy devices after a few years for obvious reasons. Besides that, they want to sell new devices.
Another Maker on Another Platform just sent me someting that says they are going to go back to GW4 but not straight away . Support will last for 4 years Good News .
If you look at Facebook and Topics on here about the subject you will see we have been asking the same question for a while now.
If you carefully follow the Instructions above for the Facer WOS6 Beta release you should be able to get your face on your GW8 . When you say any othe face can .Do you mean Facer Face . If you are trying to sync it from Creator you might have to swap to Creator Beta .
I am a creator beta now. In the design program you cannot choose Samsung watch 8. I can indeed load a facer face, but not my faces. I did also asked it in the beta program now.
In the facer app you can choose Watch8 (Small). I do not know what that Small means?
Not sure of the GW8 sizes but one will be smaller than the others . GW8 I reckon the other being Classic and a third being Utra 2025 . If you chose to make a WOS Face in Facer Creator the same platform is used for all Wos and back to Tizen .
Can @Facer_Official kindly say what the Amber information Icon refers to . I have been up and down , in and out with no Clue . We would appreciate a little Info from @Facer_Official since they Authored this Topic we guess with a view to monitoring feedback .
