For your information I just updated my galaxy watch 6 classic to One UI 6, and Facer works just fine,
You should have added this comment to the previous Topic rather than start a new one . But hey Jolly good news . Thank you . I am waiting for my GW5 PRO to be updated . Might have to wait a few more days . Which country are you in ? BTW .
Yea , I should have, I think I was too excited
I’m from Indonesia.
Yes . Man it is not an Issue . I have seen posts on FB from Italy and Germany . I think the update was following the sun . But for the GW6 only . I wait for the update for GW5 I guess it will be a while yet . It is always good to see enthusiasm .
hopefully One UI 6 will be available soon for GW5
Guess I’m waiting a few more days for my GW4 to be treat to OS5
I can confirm OP’s post - the new firmware is running fine on my GW6 Classic.
I did take the time to clear cache after the install completed - that got back 635 MB, but I don’t know how much of this was due to the new update.
Not pressing like on the OP here as punishment for not conti8nuing previous thread.
*Twiddles moustache
Better than the unlimited number of posts on GW7-Vs-Facer .
Thanks to the posts in this thread, the first one was @84yu4j1, and thank him very much, I found the courage to update my GW6 Classic.
I crossed my fingers and started the update. As others have said, I can confirm that, thankfully, it went smoothly.
No issues with Facer and its Watch Faces.
We’ll see how my reconditioned one goes Saturday.
OIK, now how to make Facer switch between Fossi8l and Galaxy. Set watch to Galaxy 6 in settings. Still Syncing to Fossil
I’ll Ask Jeeves.
I forgot the facer first install from new or reset loop that you need to set a default Facer face before you try to apply your own and let it settle.
Yeah . When you sync a face it will go to both watches . If you want to keep them separate open a New Account with a different Email address . I keep my GW4 switched off . But sometimes get surprised what is on it .
I got the update for my GW 5 PRO tonight.
After the update, the watch was slow and froze, so I did a factory reset and now it runs beautifully smooth, maybe even better than before the update.
Mine went swimmingly out of the box. No issues. But out of the box I was updating from clean so…
Near 2 days between charges on my faces.
I seem to have some trouble Wifi debug pairing but hadn’t tested it before the update. My old Fossil (almost literally these days) connects OK.
So you have WOS5 on your GW6 out of the Box ? These watch updates take a few days to settle down .
Upgraded it straight out of the box so the upgrade had a clean cache etc to work with, which is probably why there were no problems with it.
