If you “scroll on by” that leaves something that may be an infringement available. It is impossible for Marvin to be 100% accurate. Let’s help him out so that the next time he may get it right.

Make a list. Whenever I’ve sent a ticket with a long list, all were addressed. Marvin is always in learning mode. If we don’t report them Marvin learns nothing and keeps making the same mistakes.

So what is the purpose of the list? To make sure you don’t report it twice?

Since Facer doesn’t catch everything, if you let them know about someone abusing the system, it will prevent people from abusing it in the future. The more you let people get away with it, the more people will do it.

I understand, and I know this sounds weird, but I don’t feel comfortable reporting all those Mickey’s and Minnie’s and whatever else. I’ve never reported a face. Makes me feel like a tattletale… but I agree, if we don’t step up and do something about it, then it will continue. I have came across the issue of Partners faces being on other platforms and I definitely reported those.

If you want a bot to do a better job, it has to be trained.
- Do your research on brands so that you are familiar with their guidelines.
Example: Welcome to The Walt Disney Studios Licensing Website - If you see any watch faces or names that you believe may be infringements start a list with the URL’s.
- Submit that list to Facer Support as a ticket here: https://help.facer.io/hc/en-us/requests/new
Facer Support will review your list and act accordingly. They may decide to remove it or leave it depending on their agreement with the original brands and Facer’s own guidelines.
