Hey all. I just found out about the Chime Feature. (I am always late to the party.) I was pretty excited that it is offered on Beta. I had not been on Beta in a long time.
But, I was mistaking it for another Sound Feature. (I am not sure what it is actually called.)
As I understand it …This Sound Feature that I want to utilize is only available to Partners.
A person can download the watch face made available from a Partner and click on some sort of toggle on the face, for example, and a sound will be played. It is not limited to an automatic chime at the top of the hour.
Does anyone know if that sound feature is available to Creator Pro Users? Or if it will ever be? I would love to have that feature available to Creator Pro Users … even if it were just for my own personal use on faces that I create.
This is not to spark a bad debate. I am not saying anything against Partners. I feel they are definately worthy talented creators.
I am just not sure why it is not available to all Creator Pro Users. If we are paying for the Creator Pro Services, why can’t all Creator Pro users have that feature offered to them as well?
I might be missing something here, but wouldn’t it make money for Facer even if we are not a Partner? Since it is a Pro Feature, wouldn’t a person have to pay to download that Watch Face from Facer if they just have a Free Facer Account? (A Facer Pro Account is not the same as a Creator Pro Account. Both are 2 seperate paid services available from Facer… Which I have paid for both.)
Since I Pay for a Facer Pro Account, I can download any Watch Face for free from any Partner and get any pro feature on their creation. Facer still makes money on the face and I assume the Partner gets compensated for it as well, at least I hope so, no matter who downloads it.
I have asked Facer about this but never got an answer.
Any kind and constructive clarification would be welcome.

The old sound feature and the toggle are not compatible with WearOS 6. There is probably no point in creating a new design with that. I’ve been busy removing those from my work. The chime is the closest thing. I believe the Pro accounts now have access to the chime.
Thanks. I didn’t know it was not compatible any longer.
See …that’s why I need this info. No sense worrying about it any longer.
Really appreciate the feedback.

You’re welcome, Beth.
Always feel free to ask questions. I certainly asked plenty when I was new here.
Yep! Pro has access to pretty much everything. Happy creating!
No, you do not need Pro to access the chime, just right browser. On some it does not show up.
Or maybe it already has been solved, for I can see it now on Opera too.
I have a Free Account and after selecting the Beta version here Chimes are available for me to utilise: I already tested it out quick as well, thanks Facer ![]()
