No, but for making games it would be enough.
This is not an official Samsung product. It is most likely an error or a test model within Facer. Samsung has not announced or released a square Galaxy Watch 8.
We’re all learning as you guys are - I only use Facer and don’t plan on using any other platforms though
Yes always be careful what you wish for. Having said that, I think we will see lots of developments happen pretty quickly. Everything is in beta now but the team will want to optimise everything to catch the boom of new WFF faces
Just updated my galaxy watch ultra, the one thing i missed after i went iOS and returned was facer, and man it feels good to be back!
stupid sammy device did not show that there was an update for the whole os… for those that the app does not show, it will good to manually check that their samsung watch is updated to oneui 8
@spider623 - you have certainly arrived back at an interesting time with all the changes going on!
Sad, Facer still doesn’t support Oppo Watch X2 or OnePlus Watch 3.
@safesz has published watch faces for Oppo watches. Maybe he can comment on what is supported:
The whole business model or policy of Facer is totally idiotic.
I pay for PRO to be able to make premium watch faces but at the same time I have to pay for premium to be able to use them? What kind of stupidity is this? Premium should be automatically included in PRO. And if I create premium watch faces for Facer from which they earn money, I should get something back so that PRO can somehow reciprocate. People here make tons of watch faces in PRO and no one gets anything for it, the only one who collects is Facer. Especially for that price it should be lifelong and not just for a year.
I use Facemaker from Nuno for 50 EC I have lifetime PRO and the tool is much better and more extensive than Facer, where you can make a watch face for Garmin, Huawei or Xiaomi. including that fucking WFF from Google.
You have to understand, Facer is located in Los Angeles California. CA is a place often referred to as the land of FRUITS and NUTS. Plus, it is becoming a standard business model. Even some of the EU car makers are trying to sell subscriptions for your heated car seats to operate, even though you paid for and own the parts that are required physically to make it work. All the corporations are trying everything they can to squeeze out more money from the end users.
And do people buy it? I wouldn’t buy a car if I knew I would have to pay a flat fee to be able to turn on the heated seats, I would be an idiot too.
There is an advantage that you mentioned an example where there is a lot of competition. But here in this field there is not much competition, almost none. It just seems like a no-brainer to me to pay for something I can Creating and then paying again to use what I created… it’s like building a store and then paying people to go shop there.
Well, from what I am reading online people are revolting about paying a subscription for heated seats. It would not bother me since I am a former General Motors service technician, and I specialized in the electronics of the cars. I could almost bypass that system with my eyes closed.
With Facer and the Pro upgrade, you do get to use your own creations that are Premium. But what upset me the most was my Premium faces would only get 5% of the syncs that the free version would get. And that is on a good day. I dropped it right before WFF started with Facer and I’m glad I did since WFF doesn’t support 90% of the stuff allowed in Premium faces for older WearOS watches.
I think you are mistaken here. If you pay for pro and create faces (even unpublished) with premium features, you will be able to use them without paying for premium. Even after your pro subscription ends. I do it every day. Premium would only allow you to sync faces with premium features made by others.
Actually you are right. There is no need to buy premium for custom watch faces created by PRO, I apologize for that.
