Thanks. I actually haven’t ended it yet. It is now 1:50 p.m. here, so it’s actually 26.83 hours. I’m ending it now as the watch reports 16% battery. So, you’re right on at 3.13% per hour. I didn’t calculate the %/hr at first because I was trying to see how the battery drained at “normal” usage (for me anyway) and, of course, it varies. It’s going to drain faster while I’m monkeying with faces, working out, checking stats more often, and such; slower while I’m just sitting here petting the cat. Anyhow, test is officially ended - it’s going on the charger and will probably take forever to charge up fully again. This has been fun.
Yes . Those formulas are a bit wacky at the beginning . Because the time is Fractional but the Percent is not so it is a bit jumpy at the start. A simple sum at the end of the test is Plenty . So thanks again for Adding to the Topic .
Welcome. I didn’t get to where my charger is plugged in right away, so I ended up with 15% left at 2:00 p.m. - 3.148%/hr. Close enough. It did take an hour and 45 minutes to charge back up again to 100%. That’s why I rarely let it get “almost dead.” I don’t like having it off my wrist that long. Although, I did discover that the Fitbit app on the phone will pick up steps if the phone is close enough - like in my pocket, and will then update the watch when it syncs. So, that’s a partial solution.
My Samsung phone’s health app will do the same. Back when I was wearing my Fossil Carlyle occasionally and switch back to a Samsung watch. The health app from the phone would transfer all my steps to the watch.
It’s a handy feature, especially since the original Pixel takes “forever” to charge. I’m sticking with it though until it doesn’t hold a charge any longer - then I’ll treat myself to a Pixel 2.
If your battery on your PX1 is taking an Hour and 3/4 to charge it is still pretty healthy . If it was an hour or less and got quite hot It would be time to think about the upgrade .
Thanks - that’s a good thought to keep in mind. I don’t often charge it all the way from such a low point and I did notice it was fairly hot to the touch before it was done. But, it did get up to 100% and cooled off pretty quickly after finishing. I think it’s still OK, but I’ll keep that in mind.
