That most certainly doesn’t look stupid, it looks really cool actually! Please tell us how to read it?

Technically, it’s BCD!

As marked, the first two columns are the hours and the last two are the minutes. The diagonal line has a weight of 1. The oval has a weight of 2. The rectangle has a weight of 4. The triangle has a weight of 8. Simply add the lit symbols to get your current number. Example, to get 5 you would have a lit diagonal line and a rectangle in the same column.

And yes, this is hexadecimal code.

It is binary. Or to be specific, it is BCD – Binary Coded Decimal.

Ok, technically it is BCD only because it counts to 9, where hexadecimal counts to fifteen. Because the four bit places can count to 15, it only counts to 9 here, hence, it is BCD. It’s more about the application than the medium. We all happy now?

Ahh we could stretch this debate into a couple of Topics I am sure .

I love this clock face idea. That’s literally how I read the face. After 30 mins its 29mins to the hour. Quarter to the hour and so on.
You have it very bright and clear too, which is nice :+1:
