Since I prefer to show pictures than to write, I want to use “work in progress” posts to show what and how I create my faces.
I have had very good experiences with such “WiP” stories in other communities.
This face is also a reminder of one of my earlier graphic works.
The picture was released in 2007 under a different label.
All changes to the image were made in Photoshop.
Most of it is even drawn, not copied into it.
Under the link you will find a larger version of the picture.
Corel Draw!! Brings back memories of the first time I ran into it in the early 90’s… and using up Pioneer 650MB magneto-optical cartridges to copy its CDs (I think there were 2: program and clipart).
Very nice effect. And good progress. On the galaxy store is a creator, who used to publish time-lapses of making of some of his faces (in photoshop i guess).
And for the date you might want to make something like this:
@petruuccios Peter thanks for flagging up that animation . I have been scared of a Graphics Package . Bit stuck with my CAD package at the moment . Definitely Inspired Now .
Very nice! I am interested in how you can create the central V8 outline and turn it into a raised sharp edged metal with the reflections. Also interested in that circular raised area with the slight shading and reflections. It’s all in the fine details. Well done!
Its great, looks like you were wrapping it in adhesive aluminum foil.
Now I am curious, what makes the “wrinkles” on the edge. Is it photoshop or some .jpg export method?
I doubt they are intentional. Maybe part of the chrome transfer proces still in progress? I guess, they would not be visible on watch screen, but on the hi-res image it makes me wonder.
the chrome is created in photoshop.
it´s partly copy and paste, and i draw in the gaps and transitions myself.
yes, i just overlooked these 'levels / wrinkles”.
that annoyed me too last night when i was here uploaded the picture.
It only dawned on me here in the post.
I´ll clean it up at the end of the PS work.
