There has been talk of moderation lacking @Linlay is just making sure
Yes. In an international community what is āno harmā in one country may be disrespectful in another. Hey, that kind of proves the point about human eyes needed for moderation.
@Linlay Thankyou for your concern, and it is good to see input but in this instance it was not needed. Cross cultural questions are expected, received and answered here often. @mrscolumbo asked an honest question and received a few honest answers. No big.
Story of my life. No worries mate.
Interestingly, my female law enforcement colleagues consider āpolicemanā to be offensive and ācopā to be friendly - Definitely varies by region. In a Australia, cop or police officer are the go to terms. So interesting how things vary I once said āIāll need to put my thongs onā in the US (Iām from Aus, where thongs = sandals) and I got some very funny looks
Exactly my point. Thanks!
Youāre welcome. Iāll remember that.
I used to play ācops and robbersā when i was a lad in Lancashire - involved lots of running around like crazy!
I work in IT Security, and my official title is CISO - Chief Information Security Officer, also known as Cybercop
Yes, and Fanny in the UK and US mean two very different things.
Though growing up, reading The Magical Faraway Tree 2 of the main characters were Fanny and Dick. 50 years later they had to rename them to republish so time, it seems, is just another region.
Looking For a " Fag Machine " in L.A. was something one did not ask back in the day .
Indeed, so, given the title may I suggest a ācrazyā thing?
I think we are all grown up (the crazy part) here to not assume offence or disrespect unless those are felt personally.

Ha! True indeed.
Isnāt that what Einstein said?
So did I. Society was so different in those days.
Do you remember a website named āComputerCopsā - later changed to āCastleCopsā? They did tech support and worked with the FBI to deal with phishing sites. Itās been gone for probably 10? years now. If they still existed today they would probably change the name again.
Nope, does not ring a bellā¦
