I really don’t have much to say here, that’s for sure. That’s where you hit it right in the heart. That’s what the guys who wanted to be partners were missing. I’ll be sure to let them know. No one’s going to fix the “how to partner” text, are they?

Respect each other people

I personally respect everyone. But respect also has to be earned by your actions, if you do nothing, why should you be respected. Of course you can be respected for your unique design, but if you make a great design and torture cats at night, should I respect you too?

Remove and wait for a while.

Remove my watch faces and wait? I deleted, then waited, then deleted again, then waited no more, then deleted again… What’s supposed to happen? Should there be a glow around the head or what?

Step 1: Give time to each design you publish. Work on it, let it breathe.

I breathe on the screen, the design of the new watch face on it. The screen is already fogged up. What do I do next? Can I breathe the other way? I am very hungry and thirsty, nothing happens to the design on the screen. I will report back to you until I pass out.

Step 2: Do not expect to stay on top without all the ingredients.

So we need to climb to the top of the top 100? We have to have a goal and strive to achieve it. (chuckles) Great. Because the collections you choose watch faces, well in general these choices are often very ridiculous and inadequate. Or is it not a choice of partners? We’ll talk about that later. Is that where we should be aiming, too? These collections?

If you are a machine and you publish 40k designs per week, all of them similar to the others (it happens), back to step 2.

I know a guy here who works in style, wow I’ve done a thousand more hour faces, why doesn’t Facer show more than a thousand in my portfolio. Are you trying to offend him?

I was expecting at least you to realise that you can’t keep giving the same advice about love and patience. And people will listen to it, use that advice, stick their tongue up their ass and keep quiet. And when someone dares to discuss the issue, they are accused of aggression. You don’t need to get involved in partnership issues if you don’t have any influence on it. Or am I misunderstanding something?
How many people with a good design that could have been a great design have left this forum after realising their uselessness here? Did the advice help them? Have you supported them in any other way?
How should you express your opinion so as not to offend anyone when it comes to the top 100? Admit that everything is great there and apologise? Regarding the rest of the forum, you should also admit it’s great and apologise. Apologise for the outdated documentation that @bradtc was working on a new version of, but now he doesn’t need it, he seems to have realised something. But who is happy with what he has figured out. Have any of you tried to change anything? Oh no, that’s right, I forgot, that should be done by the Facer guys.
This is the second time we’ve been told in this thread. You guys should have found another way to express your opinions, it’s not the best way to get a partnership. It just goes to show that @lramos333 and I have already closed the road there. Well then, we’ll clear the matter up for others. And then it will be their choice whether to remain silent, love and wait or speak out and deal with the issues at hand.

  • I must say that in that part where I said “remove” is a mistake, it comes from a Spanish expression, I wanted to use the verb “to move” Please don’t remove your designs.

The most the better. And I think 11k is far away from what you have.

Patience never runs out. If two years was not enough, something is wrong on your side, I did it in less time. (not important data)

The most important thing, my message was not addressed to you as a personal thing, it was a general tip, I can understand your patience have run out but this way you won’t get what you want.

I have so much respect for everyone, deserved or not, is the way I am, but I think you are not reading in the right way, with no connotations, and in a defensive way. It does not help, definitely.

And last but not least, The best way to be a partner is to have a good relationship with the partners, they can help you, even recommending your name, but I think you are missing that chance.

you must have misunderstood that I am not writing about myself. I gave examples of other people’s portfolios here as examples. Yes, it’s hard to understand when everyone around you is rushing to become a partner.

And last but not least, The best way to be a partner is to have a good relationship with the partners, they can help you, even recommending your name, but I think you are missing that chance.

Attention everyone! Do not do as I do. I got the third mark and I’ll never be that, wait, I’ve already forgotten that word, something that starts with the letter P in there.
Advice to all ordinary people on this forum.
If you happen to read the text “How to become a partner”.

  1. Immediately make a list of partners. They can be identified by the stars on their avatars. By the way, if someone with a lightning bolt on their avatar shows up in the thread, you’re screwed, you won’t even have time to pray.
  2. Start loving them. Maintain a relationship with them. Start by praising their watch faces if they show them to you.
  3. Never allow yourself to swear in front of your partner.
  4. Never discuss on a forum or in a chat room that something isn’t working the way you expect it to or doesn’t work the way you expect it to.
  5. Never, ever discuss what you want to be a partner, it’s an immediate black mark. I can give you examples on this forum.
  6. Always think everything here is almost perfect and be happy and positive when you post anything here.
    Love will save the world. Peace and love to all of you.

What else? You can add to it if you are not afraid.

P.S. Love dogs and cats, about insects and aliens decide for yourself.

You people think because I made a comment that the top 100 is rigged that it’s because I want to become a partner or need acknowledgement?? Haha. Read this carefully, I don’t give a crap about becoming a partner and never did quite frankly I don’t know how some of you were chosen. Being a partner doesn’t mean you are better than anyone else. Many communities keep track of topics that are confirmed answered by the OP and therefore closed. Thus there cannot be more than one answer in one topic. If a discussion wanders off topic it needs a thread of its own. It is easier for members to search topics and go to answers sooner than reading inserted off-topic discussion that way.

These partners are like a bunch of “Karen’s”. I’ve never seen so many with their noses stuck so high in the air like if they were really that good. LOL. These people really think they’re all that. Hahahaha… I never thought my response would get their panties all up in a bunch. These people are a bunch of clowns. What they must know that it’s not only me who thinks this way about the top 100. There are many of my followers who think the same. What these partners don’t know is that regular users will see what kind of partners are on Facer and will be disgusted when they see how they react on these forums. Not a good look for Facer having these types of people as partners. Anyway, thanks for your support dealing with these people. :rofl: :rofl:

Interesting how the thread has been run. From a simple question, how it can trigger all kinds of perspectives.
The origin of the question is all, how to get to the TOP 100.
It’s frustrating not being able to do it, especially if you already have a long time trying. I was in that position. cursing all over the place? That would get me off my chest but it doesn’t make me more assertive. I won’t touch the neighbor to complain either because I can’t make it. ( if I can have a beer and cry on his shoulder ).
The only thing left is perseverance.
A good design makes all Partners, myself included, tremble. And although design is always subjective, it will happen, because good design is recognized.

Again, I believe it’s fairly obvious that the top 100 is an algorithm. It would be a wasted exercise for Facer to manually “rig” that thing, and it wouldn’t even help them financially to do so. If there is any favoritism, it is in the “featured” section, and I don’t know that I see that either. Whether you’re talking about watch faces or sandwiches, whoever is controlling what gets featured will always have personal preferences. I think they try to vary what gets featured as best as they can with their resources available. Anyway, featured faces will naturally influence the top 100 because they are getting more eyeballs on them.

But here’s a wild thought: Popular designers have far more followers. This means that every time they release something, they are getting 2x, 3x, 4x more sets of eyeballs on their work than other designers. That naturally translates to getting more syncs, which in turn pushes them up the top 100 list. Is this fair? I actually think so. If you have an insane amount of followers, that means you’ve worked your tail off to get them and so deserve the bonuses that come along with that.

I’m sorry, but I just have a hard time seeing that chart being rigged.

I don’t know how this thread devolved into a place to vent about how all partners are terrible. Some of us are more active in the forums than others. I’m guilty of not spending too much time here lately. I’ve been preoccupied with other things in my life. Does that make me a terrible person? I hope not! But I am always available to be asked any questions directly, and I would wager that is the case for most other partners.

One thing that is certain is that Facer needs to update the guidelines on how to become a partner. I believe that is on their (very long) list of things to do. I think it is just lower down on the priority list behind constantly squashing bugs and working on new platform features.

I would suggest maybe having a discussion about what would make good criteria? Would a competition type of thing be interesting to anybody? Or a way to submit your favorite 10 faces for partner review? A voting system based on peer reviews (by other free members, not just partners)? I don’t know, I’m just throwing out ideas.

What people will see is someone spewing forth assumptions and opinions and ignoring help from Partners who, based on experience, tried to help clear up confusion. Members will also see that there are a couple of guys who are disrespectful not only to Facer’s system, but to Facer Creator Partners.
I’d like to see this thread locked, but remain in view for all members to recognize that no matter how helpful the Partners try to be, there are some regular members who are intent on turning a topic into an ugly mess of disrespect and profanity. It will be a “Do’s and Don’ts” learning experience for others who may someday be Partners.

I don’t really understand why I should bow down to any business? People make money just like everyone else, sometimes successfully, sometimes not. This platform will sooner or later be replaced by another. Is this a religion? Respect has nothing to do with it at all. We pay them in one way or another, we use them to attract people who subscribe to the platform.
This whole bizarre discussion could have been prevented by the intervention of someone from Facer, who would have explained how it really works.
And if you don’t see it, I’ll make it clear to you.
No one is following this forum, new topics don’t fit into the structure, no knowledge database, outdated documentation. What exactly have you done to fix this? To make it a forum for real support and communication, not a forum for vanity where every new watch face is a striking piece of design art.

It’s pretty clear you don’t understand. I’ll repeat, I gave my opinion to the original poster which I believe to be true and then all you “partners” came in like wolves turning it into a “becoming a partner” thing. I could give 3 fks about becoming a partner and if it means turning into one of you people with the egotistical, conceited, brown nosed, I’m a God attitude, then hell no i don’t care for that. You people have done nothing but spew a bunch of assumptions and very defensive attitudes. Some people are on Facer just to design faces and don’t care about none of this stuff. It’s obvious that it’s a biased system and saying all that I’m always still in the top 5 or top 10 regularly and have been #1 many times using a FREE version so I don’t really care. I speak for myself and others users who have mentioned the same issues to me.

I don’t want to get into your sandbox of collections, it will probably be closed to many of us. Do whatever you want there. But. The Top 100 in its free version should include a compensation mechanism for non-partner designers. For you, the free version is just fun, trim the paid features and you’re done. And if you don’t support talented people coming here, it will become a swamp with design toadies squawking about it. Do you want a list of people who left Facer because no one cared about them? And a little praise is only enough for the first time.

I don’t know, frankly I don’t want to fight you anymore (it’s not personal). You are constantly offended, although you haven’t personally insulted anyone. In general, if a person has no sense of humour, he will be offended by all the words. You think that all this has just arisen out of nothing, that you and Facer are doing well, but you are hampered only by a few idiots with their questions. But we will publicly execute them and everything will be fine again. Did I mention anyone personally though? Or is it all the same now.
If I’m not mistaken this is the fourth warning, in the last case already resolved. And fighting for the sake of a silent herd is no fun, there is no excitement.
So what are the criteria? If you make a decision, and then people from Facer approve it. It all depends on what Facer decides anyway. And they don’t want to delegate their authority even to change the documentation.

I am actually on board with the idea of partner designers not being a part of the top 100 free chart. It makes sense to me. I hadn’t honestly considered the free chart, i had only been thinking about the top 100 premium.

For your second comment, I don’t know where in my post I sounded offended? Did you mean to reference me with that comment? I was simply trying to have a constructive conversation.

Like many conversations in my life, I will leave this one more confused than when I entered it.
