Awesome.

Hi @Facer-Staff, @Facer_Official
If I understand correctly what was announced, this is really great news. I think we have all been waiting for this announcement for a long time. However, I didn’t quite understand some things:

  1. Will our previous Watch Faces be able to load onto the new system as they are?
  2. If the answer to n°1 is no, will we have the possibility to convert the previous WFs ourselves so that they are compatible with the new system? In addition to those published I have a bunch of WF in draft mode
  3. Will WF Creator also change so that it can make WF compatible with the new system?

I think some further clarification on this matter would be appropriate.

Sounds good but only 1 thing springs to my mind: will Free Users have any extra Elements to play around with at last?

So If I’ve interpreted this correctly

  1. Only Premium subscribers can use Facer faces on their OS6 watches where free users won’t.

  2. Facer converts the AndroidX format faces to Watch Face Format for use with OS6.

  3. Going forward, free users will be limited to what faces they can sync and to what watches they can do it with.

Got to love this business model!!

Great news!, been holding upgrading my Watch 6 Classic from Samsung until Facer is usable on Watch 7.

With Wear OS 6 on your smartwatch, your Facer app will:

  • Show a full catalog of Facer faces (instead of the handful we have been showing - for devices that launched with Wear OS 5 - that link to downloads on Google Play)
    (that is free and premium)

We are in the same situation. I will buy another SW when it will be compatible with Facer. Until then I will keep my GW6

I sincerely hope so!

I do not think that you have interpreted correctly.

I’d love to be proved wrong because I’ve had a couple of partners tell me I am. They obviously know something that we don’t!

Time will tell.

@waynehardy, I’m sure there will be more posted here soon. The Community Manager job application has been removed so I expect that the Facer side will be more active in the future with responses. I know that all of you have found it frustrating to not receive official answers to your questions.

The Community Manager job application has been removed…

meaning we don’t get one?

Hi
I apologize to everyone, but due to my limited experience in this group, I don’t understand what to do.
I got a subscription to Face Creator Pro. My Smartwatch is a Samsung 4, will it work? Will I need to buy a newer one? Or pay for the update?
Thanks in advance!
Best regards,
Christian

I believe that your Samsung 4 will continue to work with your subscription. As for Creator changes, all of us are waiting for confirmation on that.
@pbervoets Most likely if the application was removed the position has been filled.

Hi there! Just to clarify — the full Facer experience on Wear OS 6 will continue to support free faces, à la carte purchases, and Premium access. Hope this clears things up!

I am so glad and this will push me and others to buy a new watch. As soon as we know which watches exactly are supported, then that will open the market for us. Any idea when the list will be adapted of watches supported? Thx.

That sounds positive. :+1:

We will share updates on watches getting Wear OS 6 as soon as the information is available to us!
