Hi everybody. I thought that I would add my bit in here. I probably create more designs than most people. I make 2-3 a day. That’s over a 2-year period. I have many designs published. That’s 1422 published designs, and over 426,000 syncs in total up until this afternoon. I do this because I love it. I have always been creative & artistic, but only since designing on Facer, have I had a platform to give life to my creativity. Would I like to be a Partner? SURE! That would be awesome, but regardless of that, I do this for the love of it and it keeps my mind occupied. I am now going on 67 years old this month and I have grown up with technology. I saw the birth of Apple & Microsoft & DOS & Windows &&&&&&. II did recruitment in the IT sector for many years. I love technology. I also receive emails from Facer announcing the new partners. I recognise some of the names and they have obviously already made a name for themselves elsewhere. Let’s not sweat the small stuff & see the bigger picture here. I love seeing 15 or 20 of my designs making it to the top 100, and many times to number 1. THAT is what I love. The satisfaction that people like my designs & are syncing them, is what gives value to my work in the end. I thank each & every designer here in this Community Forum for taking the time to teach us how to do these things. I have learned most of what I know from them. They know who they are. I love Facer for that. I was a Premium subscriber before I started designing. THANK YOU ALL! God bless you!
I feel the same way, I wasn’t even aiming to become a Partner until another Partner told me my work qualifies, but reading some of these stories can be discouraging.
Like you, I design because I love it and it’s incredibly rewarding to see people enjoy and sync my faces. That’s what keeps me motivated.
The only thing I would really like to see from Facer is a simple reply when someone applies for Partner status, even just a short message if you’re not accepted. I read here that someone filled out the form twice and never got any response, which feels a bit strange.
Other than that, I completely agree with you, this platform gives so much satisfaction and inspiration.
You are a very talented designer and highly creative. I’ve seen your designs in the top 100 and I can relate to many of them. I too, applied to be a partner & never got a response, which in itself, is an answer. But no biggie. I just keep going regardless. You never know where this road takes you. It can only be good. Keep going mate. We are all in need of inspiration!
We are prrmitted to apply to be partners every 30 Days . Any more frequent and it wil be ignored .
I am not sure what purpose all the laughing emojis serves. Is that a quote from Facer’s announcement?
Guys, I’ve said this about a zillion times before: Businesses hire and promote based on their needs. All life isn’t about “participation trophies”. Think about other jobs, teams, or juried art groups that you have applied for during your lifetime. How many times did you return to rant in public about their hiring practices and why you should have been selected but weren’t? How did that work out for you?
I agree that a follow-up reply from the business should be in order.
It was a little Comedy Quip on " Being Ignored " . I got selected for every job I applied for and was head hunted in my Field . I enjoyed the Camaraderie of the teams I worked in . I have absolutely no resentment at not being invited to be a Partner of Facer . I am one of those that Biggs up Facer at every opportunity . I do reserve the right to have a bit of Fun in my Hobby .
I know that everyone thinks they put in the time and the work and the effort to “make partner” but you need to compare your work to partner work. Are you using premade hands? Grabbing them from someone/somewhere else? Are you creating your own graphics? Dials, gears, backgrounds, animations?
Don’t focus on quantity, make quality content.
Are you not getting a ton of syncs? Watch the trends on whos at the top and think colors, styles etc. Don’t copy, but if there are 6 out of 10 faces in the top 10 that are green, maybe make a green face. That kind of thing. Are they all digital? Maybe don’t make an analog face this week.
And be diverse. It’ll create more options for you as well as expand your appeal to more people.
Again, don’t lose hope everyone. If you want something, work for it. Find a way, and good luck!
Good point!
That’s impressive! In that case you cannot relate to the rhetorical question above.
Guys, use the 30 days between applications to think about what Rator said. Do your own work to be different and outstanding. Save the snark and attitude for someplace else so you can be a good team member at Facer.
Yes, I think there should at least be a reason why you don’t qualify. Then you know which direction to take. Not a statement saying you will be ignored. Yes, I see the humor in that statement. How do you even know if they got your information? From what I see they are taking on partners from outside of Facer. Probably those that are established on the Play Store.
Yeah I mean look, Facer wants to make money. If they think YOU can make THEM money, then YOU’LL have a better chance at making money.
Yeah . I have little objection to Guys coming in from outside . Giants like AMOLED a Real Coder that will make a serious difference . He will help Facer enormously in the Transition . However Those who have made a significant contribution to this community deserve at least a Read Receipt for their Applications to become a Partner . The invitation is on the New Facer Creator so they want us to Apply . The contribution of the Free makers on this forum has been second to none . Making it the best . Otherwise we just have the Bad Manners of FB Groups . We all understand it is about making Money but hopefully being Civil . I would like to say thanks to all the great friends I have Made on this Community and the chance for the Learning . But there comes a time when one must move on or one is Trapped .
Isn’t that the point of us Facer creators to try and get partner with Facer? If they get partners from outside of Facer, then what’s the point of us even apply? Sorry, none of this bs make no sense to me.
While we haven’t had any official word on it that I know of, I can only imagine they brought those individuals in to increase their number of WFF faces available since they announced Facer would be moving to it. I get that. I also agree we should be promoting from within. I’ve never seen a bunch of partners come in like this before so I can only assume that’s the case. So keep up the great work everyone and dont despair!
I know I talked to a partner on the side when I was trying to make partner to see what I could do to get better and that helped immensely. Don’t hesitate to hit us up, wait… I don’t want to volunteer other partners lol, so if you want to hit ME up, totally fine, I will help if/how I can.
Well said, Rator. That is the bottom line. I believe all has been discussed in this community many times. What do People want? - Show Your Style! / Design showcase - FACER Community
Enjoy what you are doing, follow TOS and community rules, and discern whether your work is able to be an asset to the business.
I draw everything from scratch and sometimes spend countless hours, days, even weeks on each face I make. I have followed all the advice given and them some and for some reason…well…I am really feeling like I have fallen through the cracks. Take a look at my stuff on Play Store and tell me otherwise. (I stopped making anything in Face like 2 years ago)
They still need awesome designs that are free. Have you looked at the top 100 free? OMG, A good majority of those designers need to be made Partner. I know I joined Facer for the free designs. So, free designs in my opinion are bringing in business for Facer. It’s really sad and I don’t understand it either why they promote from outside.
I’m a fan of your work, and your advice.
There are a lot of creative quality designers in the Facer free community for sure. As I already said, If Brazen isn’t the next one brought in I will be shocked and disappointed. There are some others too who are worthy, but one of the things to consider is just because there are a bunch of qualified job applicants that doesn’t mean there are necessarily jobs available. As Facer grows the partner program can expand, and has. As far as this particular round of expansion, yes it’s a shame that Facer community designers were not yet brought in, but as has already been explained in this thread, it is actually very easy to understand why they brought in the established Play Store designers this time at this particular moment . I don’t have inside information on this, it’s just obvious to me that this was to draw attention to Facer’s new presence in the new WFF market which had a 12 month head start with Facer on the outside. It’s a smart move and will likely lead to the continued growth which will allow Facer to bring in more from inside the Facer community.
Hi Manuel, I was lucky enough to have spoken with you once, and I realized that your motivation is indeed love. And that’s truly inspiring. Keep it up, and I’m here for you!
